At the Hive we strive to offer you everything you need to move well and enjoy your training. Your visit to The Hive North Shore includes access to the Yoga, Pilates, Meditation and Conditioning classes as well as our fully equipped gym. You can also delve deeper into improving your overall fitness at any Hive location with our Personal and Group Training options.

PrAna Studio 

The prAna Studio is nestled into the corner of our second floor at the Hive North Shore. The floor to ceiling windows offer you a stunning view of the trees in our climate controlled, beautifully designed studio. Our classes are lead by highly experienced, friendly instructors and our events explore a wide variety of educational opportunities. Personal + Group Training (Coming Soon)

Whether you’re training for a marathon, a climbing competition or simply wanting to take your fitness to the next level, our Personal and Group Training sessions are an excellent option. Led by certified Personal Trainers and Group Fitness Instructors who will work with your schedule and fully support you with that extra bit of motivation and expertise that you need to get the job done. We also offer one-on-one Pilates, Yoga and Conditioning sessions for all experience levels.

Workshops and Teacher Trainings

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • All students must read and complete the waiver before attending their first class.
  • Please allow 15 min before your first class to find your way around the facility, and 5-10 minutes to get settled in the studio as a returning student.
  • To keep the studio experience the best it can be, we don’t allow late entry to classes. Please respect fellow students and arrive a few minutes in advance of the scheduled class start time.

Unless otherwise specified, youth 16+ may attend unsupervised. As with any activity in the facility, youth must have a waiver on file, signed by their parent or legal guardian to participate. The Hive reserves the right to request a youth have supervision in future classes if they prove they are not able to act responsibly and respectfully in class. 

We do things a little differently at the Hive. When you “drop-in” for the day at the Hive we open your visit up to experience everything that we have to offer at each location and this is why we call it a “Day Pass”. At The Hive North Shore we have a bouldering area, studio area and gym area and you have access to each of these facilities everytime you visit us. You can even take several classes in one visit if you wish.

All of our classes in the studio are done either in bare feet or with socks on, so no running shoes required. Our yoga mats and studio props are all free for you to use. We have fountains available in the gym. Please bring your own water bottle and wear any appropriate yoga and fitness attire.

As you may have read in ‘what do I need to bring’, we have mats to borrow at no charge. Any props needed for class are also supplied.

Our Day Pass for $22 acts as an intro pass because it allows you to try a number of different types of classes and gives you access to the entire facility within the time period of one day.

Yes, we have fully equipped change rooms with free lockers and showers. All of our lockers use keys, and are free to use; please bring your ID to swap if you plan to use one. We also rent towels, climbing shoes and chalk bags.

Our class sizes range from 15-30 people.

No, not at all. Many people come without a partner and it’s easy to find someone to work with. Usually you are in a group of three so that one person helps with spotting, rotating through so everyone gets a chance to learn all aspects.

Yes, we have plenty of parking available within our lot. Please feel welcome to park in any of the available stalls outside the gym and there is also free parking along side streets surrounding the Hive North Shore location.
