Injury Prevention with Jai Keighery
This is an interactive workshop focused on injury prevention for your shoulders, elbows and fingers. Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and Hive Instructor Jai Keighery will run you through some basic anatomy, provide you with some strategies to properly warm up these areas, and introduce antagonist training as a means of preventing common injuries. The session will wrap up with some ways to identify when you do have a serious injury (rather than a tweak) and how to get back to climbing. This will be an interactive workshop – you will be invited to do the exercises with the group and there will be plenty of time for questions at the end of the session.

How to Build Endurance for Climbing
Endurance is often neglected in climbing, but it is a superpower that will let you stay on the wall longer and climb harder. This workshop will explore and explain how different types of endurance affect your body and how to use endurance training as a tool to help you accomplish your climbing goals. This 2 hour workshop is suitable for all levels and will be interactive – expect to endure at least 30 minutes of easy to moderate climbing.

Mental Cruxes in Climbing
Like a delicate footswap, pushing past mental barriers on the wall is a practiced skill. Together we’ll discuss strategies for finding confidence while projecting, staying present on the wall, and learning how to activate a ‘Try Hard Mentality.’ In this one hour workshop we will discuss strategies and tactics to overcome mental cruxes on the wall. This workshop offers you the tools to cultivate confidence and mental clarity to help you push new limits.
