Get ready… Hive Surrey staff are geared up and ready to deliver
Hello again from Hive Surrey!
Keeping the update train rolling onwards, we are so psyched to gush on our amazing staff team we are building up for Hive Surrey!
Our team is lead by Hive veteran, Brad Blackwell. Brad has managed both other Hive locations, starting at Vancouver way back in 2015. Brad’s take on the newest Hive baby?
“This is going to be the best of what both other Hives have to offer. I couldn’t be more passionate about creating the best possible facility to bring the community together in Surrey and help get as many new people into the sport.”
Our Education Department is led by one of our newest leaders, Leor Laniado. Leor has been working hard at Hive Vancouver as our Head Instructor, but is now taking on the huge task of getting our youth and adult programming off the ground. She is most excited about starting from scratch with a group of kids and building the program into the multi-tiered system now running at our other two locations.
“Starting with a blank slate in a beautiful, new facility in a community with so much potential is so incredible. Being able to evolve and grow with our members and guests will make for such a wild ride.”
When the North Shore opened, we had so many amazing staff at our Vancouver gym who relocated. This time around we had to build a team almost entirely from scratch. We are by no means done hiring, but we have a great foundation of humans ready to make sure every person through the door feels the hexagon love. We are strong believers that the environment and community we create starts from within, so we are already working hard to have a strong connection within the team here. We hosted a full team training day in February and we had a blast getting to know each other and learn about where the Hive comes from and where we hope to go. With more big training dates coming up, we think this could be the greatest crew assembled since the 1972 Miami Dolphins. Get to know the Surrey folks around the other gyms as they train and learn the ropes from our other team members.
